Refrigerant air dryer provide dry compressed air with pressure dew point 3-10 ˚C that is
acceptable in many industrial plant air applications. The layout of refrigerant air dryers are
composed of heat exchanger and the refrigerant system to reduce temperature of compressed
air. The incoming warm and humid air is passed through the air-to-air heat exchanger and
then through the evaporator to reduce the temperature of the compressed air. This drying
method is based on the principle that if compressed air is cooled to temperature below the dew
point, condensation will begin and water is precipitated.
